A loan does not end when it funds. Long after the closing table, someone is answering the questions, working through the extensions, and sorting out the tax and insurance details. At Iron Oak Home Loans, that person is Lupita Sedano.

MEET THE TEAM
Lupita Sedano
Servicing Supervisor at Iron Oak Home Loans, a private money lender based in Pleasanton, California. She oversees the Extensions, Collections, and Taxes & Insurance desks, and has been with the company for nearly six years.
Why we are introducing you to Lupita
Every so often we set the market data aside and introduce you to the people behind the loans, because at Iron Oak, the work does not end at the closing table. This spotlight belongs to Lupita, our Servicing Supervisor, who has spent nearly six years growing with the company.
She is as hands-on as they come. We asked her to reflect on her role, what has kept her here, and what is ahead. Here is Lupita, in her own words.
What does a servicing supervisor actually do?
ON HER ROLE
“I oversee the teams responsible for our Extensions, Collections, and Taxes & Insurance desks. Having worked in each of these areas firsthand, I have a well-rounded understanding of the servicing process, and today I provide training and guidance to help ensure consistency, efficiency, and continued development. I’m still very hands-on — supporting escalations, resolving tax and insurance issues, following up on challenging accounts, and removing roadblocks for both my team and our borrowers. I’m always looking for ways to improve processes and provide the best possible client experience.”
What brought her to Iron Oak — and what keeps her here
SIX YEARS IN
“I’ve been with the company almost six years. I wasn’t looking for a new opportunity when a good friend called asking if I’d join her team again — the fact that it was her reaching out was enough for me to explore it, and the rest is history. What has kept me here is the opportunity to grow. I’ve been promoted several times, and each came from the trust the company placed in me. Hard work, initiative, and a willingness to learn are recognized and rewarded here.”
What she enjoys most
THE DAY TO DAY
“Solving problems and finding ways to make things work better — for both our team and our borrowers. Every day is different, and I like being someone others can rely on to jump in, help resolve challenges, and make everyone’s job a little easier. I also appreciate the flexibility of working remotely and staying connected with the team to support one another.”
A moment she is proud of
WHAT SHE IS PROUD OF
“More than any single accomplishment, I’m proud to be part of this company and grateful for the trust and opportunities I’ve earned to grow both personally and professionally. I feel seen and heard, and it’s rewarding to know my team and leadership count on me to tackle complex servicing issues and help find solutions. Seeing those efforts make a positive impact is what I’m most proud of.”
What is ahead
LOOKING FORWARD
“I’m excited to keep growing, improving our processes, supporting my team, and taking on new challenges as the business evolves. One of the things I value most is working closely with my mentors, Rich and Christy — there’s never a dull day, and I’m constantly learning from their experience and leadership. I’m excited to continue this journey and see where it takes me.”
ONE THING ABOUT LUPITA — “BULLDOG”
In her early years, Lupita earned the nickname “Bulldog” — for her dedication and persistence. In her words: “It says a lot about how I approach challenges: I stay committed, I don’t give up easily, and I always try to find a way forward. As I like to say, be part of the solution, not the problem.”
Outside of work, she loves time with family and friends, road trips, and exploring new places — and values friendship, loyalty, honesty, and a positive attitude wherever she goes.
Why servicing matters in private lending
A loan does not end when it funds. Lupita and the servicing team are the people who stand behind every Iron Oak loan, resolving questions, working through challenges, and removing roadblocks long after the closing. For borrowers across California, that means the same team that underwrote the loan is still reachable months later, by phone, when something needs sorting out.
It is the same relationship-driven care that defines Iron Oak, from the first call to the final payoff.
A lending partner that stands behind every loan.
