Owner, Secretary and COO of Iron Oak Home Loans, a private money lender based in Pleasanton, California. She has been with the company since 2012 and runs day-to-day operations while staying hands-on in the loan process.
Why we are introducing you to Christy
Christy is an owner of the company who helps run day-to-day operations while staying hands-on in the loan process itself. She has been part of the Iron Oak story for well over a decade.
We asked her to reflect on the work, the borrowers, and what keeps her going. Here is Christy, in her own words.
What does she do at Iron Oak?

“As owner of Iron Oak Home Loans, I wear a few hats — but day to day, I’m hands-on with operations and loans. I oversee the overall running of the company while still staying involved in the loan process itself, from documentation to making sure our borrowers get the attention they deserve.”
How she came to Iron Oak

“I’ve been with Iron Oak since 2012, but my history with the company goes back further. Iron Oak was one of our customers back in the early 2000s, so I knew the business and the people well before I ever joined. When I got laid off from my previous job, I saw it as a chance for a new scenery — and coming to Iron Oak felt like the natural next step.”
What she enjoys most

“What I love most is helping borrowers reach their goals. There’s nothing more rewarding than being part of someone’s journey to the next level — whether that’s buying a property, flipping a house, or simply improving their financial situation. Knowing I played a role in getting them there is what keeps me passionate about this business.”

“One of my proudest moments happens more often than people might expect — a borrower thanking me and telling me how great it was to work with Iron Oak. That kind of feedback means everything. It’s a reminder that we’re doing right by the people we serve, and it makes me proud to be an owner of a company that puts clients first.”

ONE THING ABOUT CHRISTY
Outside of work, Christy and her husband love to host. Friends and family over to entertain is their happy place. They also love to travel, with recent trips to Las Vegas, Cabo, and Scottsdale, and weekend road trips are a favorite.
And the newest joy: she became a grandma in June 2025 to a beautiful baby girl. Watching her grow and spending time with her is precious.
