Loan Officer and Investor Relations Manager at Iron Oak Home Loans, a private money lender based in Pleasanton, California. He finds the investors behind the loans Iron Oak funds and handles much of the trust accounting that keeps it moving.

He finds the investors behind the loans Iron Oak funds, and handles much of the trust accounting that keeps it all moving. He started with us part-time in 2020 and came on full-time in 2023.
Here is Chris, in his own words.
What does he do at Iron Oak?
ON HIS ROLE
“I wear many hats at Iron Oak. I’m a Loan Officer and Investor Relations Manager for our single trust deed loans and our mortgage fund, the person who finds investors for all the new loans we fund and close. I also handle the majority of our trust accounting: balancing our accounts, processing borrower autopay payments, paying our investors, and processing loan payoffs. I like to be involved in many aspects of our company to help any way that I can.”
How he came to Iron Oak

“I started with Iron Oak as a part-time contractor in 2020, doing social media marketing and email newsletters, helping to freshen up the brand a bit. After a few years, Rich and Christy asked if I would come on as a full-time employee in 2023.”
What he enjoys most
THE DAY TO DAY
“Every loan is a bit different from the last. We aren’t a traditional lender, so we have to think outside the box when underwriting a new loan. The creativity is what keeps me going! I also love interacting with our investors, most of them have been with us for over a decade.”
A moment he is proud of

“Every time we can help out a borrower is a win for me. Our number one goal is to make sure what we offer can positively impact the borrower. I’m proud to be a small part of almost every loan over the past three years.”

“I’m most excited, and a bit nervous, to take my DRE broker’s license exam soon!”
ONE THING ABOUT CHRIS
Before Iron Oak, Chris spent more than ten years working in the music and audio world. In his words: “I am a musician! I still play and make music as often as I can.”
The creative instinct carried over. At Iron Oak no two loans look alike, and that is the part he likes best.
